April 27, 2006SNG Results of late...I have played in 8 SNG's in the past three days, and I have not had the best of luck. These are of course, No Limit Texas Holdem Poker SNG's, ranging from 27 to 180 people. In 5 of these, I was sucked out on hard, making the right call, and having the best hand going in, only to get hit on the river in every case. One particularly nasty one was an idiot calling me with 94 off and hitting a straight on the river. UGH... There have been times lately where I have hated this fucking game! In Two of the SNG's I was short and did not go in with the best hand, and got snapped. These two I can live with, it was simply a matter of bad cards leading to a decision that had to be made. In ONE SNG did I cash, and that was a 5th place cash, and even then I went in with AKs against a small pair, and had not ONE face card hit the board...... Personally, I dont care! I thought the 'older woman' ( I say that because she is NOT older than me ) was a rather good looking lady, and I would have obliged her in much the same way David did, given half the chance. Actually, MOST of the male audiuence that is making such a fuss, when push came to shove ( pun not intended ) would have done the lady without hesitation, REGARDLESS of what they said in chat rooms! Let us remember that David Willims is a young man full of raging hormones, as many of us were at that age, and let him be! ;-) Posted by fatbill at 09:14 AM | Comments (0) 2006 WPT Championship Day 5Well, they narrowed the field down to the final 6, in the WPT No Limit Texas Holdem Poker Championship. I've heard all the arguments that 'you want people making those calls....', bla, bla, bla.... The fact of the matter, is that I'm getting sucked out on 95% of the time whtn those idiots '..make those calls...' and I just got tired of it! It's pretty tiresome making the right call, at the right time, KNOWING you have the best hand.... only to have the asshole hit a two outer on the river to put you down. AND, it happens TIME after TIME, after TIME... ESPECIALLY Online.... So, What set me off this time? I'm playing in a Deep Stacks tournament at PokerStars.... it's down to 100 players, with the top 40 paid.... Im not in great shape, having like 7K with the average being around 12K, but because of the blinds 100/200, I'm not really in trouble. I'm playing smart, being patient, and really not taking unnecessary risks with my chips.... FINALLY I get a hand! KK UTG! I make it 800 to go! I get two callers.... the guy on the button, who has me outchipped 5/1, and the BB who is similar in chip count to the Button. The flop comes K 8 9 rainbow! PERFECT! I bet 800 out... the button makes it 1400... the blind folds..... I push my remaining 4300 ALL IN! The button IMMEDIATELY calls, and shows JT Off! He called my all in on an open ender!! You know he hit the damn thing, not ONLY did he get the Q on the Turn, but he hit the 7 on the river....
