Every 50,000 hands they will have a cash prize of $1000 up for grabs and on each millionth hand (since the start of the day) they will award $25,000 to the players at the table playing the millionth hand. On average they have 2.6million hands a day so they are hoping they will go over 3 million with this promotion. A total of about $200K will be awarded throughout the day. On September 22nd they will start the qualifiers for the PartyPoker Championships. This promotion is a series of 4 big money guaranteed tournaments with a $1,000,000 main event. A total of $2,000,000 will be guaranteed over the four days. Those players with their seat assignments and chip counts are: It will be 117 days before these players meet again to determine the WSOP champ. Each player takes home with them $900,670, which is the guaranteed 9th place amount. Additional monies will be rewarded based on finish when they resume play 0n November 9th and 10th. The last remaining lady in the event, Tiffany Michelle, was eliminated in 17th place winning $334,534.... shame, cuz she would have added some beauty to the final table..... The chip leader is Craig Marquis, with 11,300,000 in chips. The lone lady in the field, Hottie Tiffany Michelle is among the chipleaders. An aquaintance, who I've met at several trade shows, placed a VERY respectable 44th, and earned $154,401. They will return today to play down to 27. Past champion Phil Hellmuth, and Mike Matusow are both still alive, while Jeff Madsen, Allen Cunningham, Hoyt Corkins, and Gus Hansen are all out of the action. The chip leader at this poitn is Mark Ketteringham, with 5,800,000.... Many notable pros survived, including: Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow, Johnny Chan, Gus Hansen, Hoyt Corkins, and Allen Cunningham. Day 4 was played fast and furious, ending earlier than expected due to the number of players dropping, with 189 still in the field! They are at level 19, with blinds at 5,000/10,000 and a 1,000 ante. The chip leader is Jeremy Joseph, with 3,100,000 in chips. Gus Hansen, Mike Matusow, Hoyt Corkins, and Phil Hellmuth are still hanging on, with Hansen being in the best chip position with 1,400,000! Play will resume today at Noon..... they will play down to the final 27 tomorrow, and determine the final table of 9 on Monday! Today at noon, day 2B will see players from days 1C and 1D take their seats in an attempt to move on to day 3. The current chip leader is Brian Schaedlich with 745,000 in chips, far out distancing his rivals at this stage of play.... Jean-Robert Bellande took second place, worth $173,564. Event #54, the $10,000 World Championship No Limit Texas Holdem day 1a drew 1,297 players, which is considerably under what I would have expected!! It looks like they will struggle to get 5000 for the event this year, making it the least in the past several years! Second place went to Peter Jetten, worth $528,257. Overnight chipleader Michael Mizrachi took down thrid. Event #51, a $1500 H.O.R.S.E. event was won by James Schaaf, who took the bracelet and first place money worth $256,412. Taking second place, worth $158,933, was Tommy Hang. Phil Hellmuth ended up taking thrid! Event #52, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event is down to the final table, with play set to resume today at 2PM. The players are: Event #53, a $1500 Limit Texas Holdem Shootout drew 813 players, and they played down to 72 when play halted for the night. Play will resume today at 2PM to determine the final table. After an hour break, the play will begin to determine the champion. Today, there is a $5000 Ante Up for Africa charity at 3PM, and a media event, as things are set to conclude prior to tomorrow's start of the main event. The Main event begins day 1 tomorrow at Noon. The only other event scheduled , is the annual Casino Employee No Limit Texas Holdem event which will start Next Monday. Taking second place was Rasmus Nielsen, worth $389,557. Event #50, the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Omaha event is down to the final 9, after a 15 hour session yesterday! The final players will resume today at 3, and are: Event #51, a $1500 H.O.R.S.E. event is down to 21, and will play today at 3PM to determine the champion. Phil Hellmuth is the chipleader, and seeking his 12th bracelet. Event #52, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event drew 2693 entrants, and there were 227 left when play halted, once the money bubble was burst!
