June 14, 2008WSOP 2008 Day 16 UpdatesEvent #21, a $5000 No Limit Texas Holdem event was won by Scott Seiver, who earned $755,891 and the bracelet. Taking second place was Dave Seidman, worth $482,372. Event #22, a $3000 H.O.R.S.E. event was won by Jens Voertmann, taking home $298,253 and the bracelet. Taking down second was Doug Granger, worth $182,822. Marcel Luske was eliminated in 3rd place, worth $110,264. Event #23, a $2000 No Limit Texas Holdem event is down to the final nine players, that will play today. The final table is: Event #24, a $2500 Pot Limit Texas Holdem/Omaha event started with 457, and as of this writing, are down to 10. Howard Lederer was eliminated 11th. Allen Cunningham is the chip leader. Event #25, a $10,000 World Championship Heads Up No Limit Texas Holdem event had 256 entries, and played down to 32 by the end of the day. Play will resume today at 2PM. Here are the matches for day 2: Event #26, a $1500 Seven Card Razz event drew 453 players, and when play ended on day one, 106 were still vieing for the title. Play will resume today at 3PM. Today's new events are: Event #27, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem Event which begins at noon. Event #28, a $5000 Pot Limit Omaha with Rebuys, which gets underway at 5PM.
