I've been playing online lately....

... at Bugsy's and at Full Tilt Poker!

I have always liked playing at Bugsy's, even thought it is no where near as popular or busy as most of the other rooms. For some reason, the people playing there are nicer than at most other places, and I think the play is a bit better. The down side, is that because there are not as many players, you dont get the numbers in touraments that you do at other places...

Full Tilt is a pretty busy place to play at, which means there are good turnouts for touraments with 400+ not uncommon. The level of play is what I expect at any big poker room.... erratic! LOL There just seem to be so many more buffoons at bigger poker rooms, so you get more suckout's by morons making incrediblly bad calls! LOL

Oh... it's fun to go into rooms and watch the Full Tilt pro's play for the big bucks. Nothing like watching a couple of them play $1000/$2000 Omaha! ;-)

Uproar over ESPN WSOP ME coverage

Man has there been a lot of discussion about the coverage by ESPN of the WSOP Main Event Texas Holdem Poker event!

It's NOT the issue of poor coverage of the poker, BUT the coverage of the MORONS acting like 4 year olds DURING the tournament.

You Have to watch the latest two episodes of the coverage to understand what is going on, but everyone was expecting a WWF type event to break out.....

Some of these people really need to get a life!

The Tournament Management has to REALLY Take a serious look at doing something to crush this type of behavior, or they are in risk or simply feeding into the mentality that would have poker banned in this country.

Interesting events with this years WSOP people

For the first time that I can recall, there are a number of legal issues involving people who did well in this year's WSOP Main Event!

Jamie Gold, who won the No Limit Texas Holdem Poker Main Event this year, is being sued for half his winnings. It is being claimed that he promised them to a 'friend', and there seems to be a taped telephone message regarding that from Jamie himself on the matter. Who knows... one thing for sure, is that people get screwy when there is 12Million involved! You can read more of this at Cardplayer.com by clicking Here.

NOW it comes out that Richard Lee, who first achieved fame by finishing sixth at the Main Event, is under investigation for running an online sports Book out of his home. Warrents were issued, and there was a 'raid' on his home that involved confications of computers, automobiles, ect.... The full article can be read Here.

thses things dont bode well for the sport, especially in light of pending legislation....

Have not played much......

... lately, mainly because of the Carpol Tunnel operation. The hand just gets too sore after extended mouse use and I'm terrible left handed! LOL

I played one online tourney, and it was miserable! Althought I did make the final table, actually the final 6, the cards stopped, and I got wasted away.....

I played one time with the guys at the Poker club, and that was equally dismal, when I got a horrible call on an all in. There were NO pot odds on the call, and the caller had K high with an ace on the board ( I had and ace ). He of course hit a straight on the river.

Gotta love poker... the one game where poor play and bad calls are continually rewarded!
