<title>WSOP 2008 Day 34 Updates</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Event #52, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event was won by David Daneshgar, who took the bracelet and $625,443.  Taking second place, worth $385,974 was Scott Sitron.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #53, a $1500 Limit Texas Holdem Shootout is down to 4 players as of this writing (8AM est), with Jean-Robert Bellande with a HUGE chip lead.   They are playing it till the end!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Well, today starts the FIRST of FOUR day one sittings, for the Main Event.  This is Event #54, the $10,000 World Championship No Limit Texas Holdem tournament.&lt;br /&gt;
For the next four days one quarter of the field will meet at Noon, to pair down what is expected to be 6,000+ players!&lt;/p&gt;

<title>WSOP 2008 Day 33 Updates</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Event #50, the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Omaha event was won by Marty Smyth, who took the bracelet and $859,532.  Second place went to Peter Jetten, worth $528,257.   Overnight chipleader Michael Mizrachi took down thrid.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #51, a $1500 H.O.R.S.E. event was won by James Schaaf, who took the bracelet and first place money worth $256,412.  Taking second place, worth $158,933, was Tommy Hang.   Phil Hellmuth ended up taking thrid!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #52, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event is down to the final table, with play set to resume today at 2PM.  The players are:&lt;br /&gt;
Corwin Cole - 1,625,000&lt;br /&gt;
Matthew Matros - 1,447,000&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Today, there is a $5000 Ante Up for Africa charity at 3PM, and a media event, as things are set to conclude prior to tomorrow&apos;s start of the main event.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Main event begins day 1 tomorrow at Noon.   The only other event scheduled , is the annual Casino Employee No Limit Texas Holdem event which will start Next Monday.&lt;br /&gt;

<title>WSOP 2008 Day 33 Updates</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Event #49, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event was won by JC Tran, who won his first bracelet, and $631,170.  Taking second place was Rasmus Nielsen, worth $389,557.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #50, the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Omaha event is down to the final 9, after a 15 hour session yesterday!  The final players will resume today at 3, and are:&lt;br /&gt;
1. Kido Pham - 1,080,000&lt;br /&gt;
2. Brandon Moran - 1,286,000&lt;br /&gt;
3. Peter Jetten - 492,000&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #53, a $1500 Limit Texas Holdem Shootout will get underway today, and is the last event before the MAIN EVENT.&lt;br /&gt;

<title>WSOP 2008 Day 32 Updates</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Event #45, the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E event was won by former WSOP Main Event champ Scotty Nguyen!  Scotty won $1,989,120 along with the prestigious bracelet.   Michael DeMichele took second place, worth $1,243,200.  Overnight chip leader Erick Lindgren took thrid place.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #48, a $2000 No Limit Texas Holdem event was won by Alexandre Gomes, who took home $770,540 and the braclet.  Second place went to Marco Johnson, worth $491,273.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #49, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event is down to the final nine, of the starting 2718.  Play will resume today, with these players:&lt;br /&gt;
Rasmus Nielsen - 2,978,000&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #51, a $1500 H.O.R.S.E. event drew 803 entrants, and 184 remain going into todays play.  Former WSOP Main event winners Phil Hellmuth and Joe Hachem are both in the hunt on this one.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are only two events remaining prior to the start of the Main Event.  They are:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #52, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event, that gets underway today at noon.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #47, a $1500 Seven Card Stud High-Low event was won by Ryan Hughes, who took home his SECOND Stud 8/b bracelt and $183,368.  Second went to Ron Long, worth $113,240.   Hughes becomes the ONLY player to win TWO stud 8/b bracelets!!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #48, a $2000 No Limit Texas Holdem event is down to the final table, with play set to resume today at 3PM.  The finalists are:&lt;br /&gt;

<title>WSOP 2008 Day 30 Updates</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Event #44, a $1000 No Limit Texas Holdem with Rebuys event was won by Max Greenwood, who took home $693,444 and the bracelet.  Rene Mouritsen finished in second ( his THRID second ) and won $445, 523.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #45, the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E event has been narrowed down to 24, with play resuming today, to determine the final table of 8.  Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Doyle Brunson, and Scotty Nguyen are still all in the hunt!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #46, a $5000 No Limit Texas Holdem Six Handed event Was down to the final 7, ALL playing at ONE table, to determine the final 6.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #47, a $1500 Seven Card Stud High-Low even played down to 13, when play was halted for the evening.  Play will resume today at 3PM and continue down to the champion of this event.  David Sklansky is the only &apos;name&apos; still in the event, as Men &apos;The Master&apos; Nguyen went out 17th.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #48, a $2000 No Limit Texas Holdem event began play with 2317 entries, and at the end of the day there were 198 remaining, ALL in the money!  Play will resume today at 2PM to determine the final table.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #49, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event begins play today at noon.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We are edging closer to the &apos;MAIN EVENT&apos;, which is scheduled to get underway Thursday July 3rd at Noon!!&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #41, a $1500 Mixed Texas Holdem event was won by Frank Gary, who took the bracelet, and first place monies worth $219,217.  Taking down second place was Jonathan Tamayo, worth $140,093.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Event #42, the $1000 Seniors No Limit Texas Holdem World Championship is down to the final table.  The remaining players are:&lt;br /&gt;

<description>&lt;p&gt;Event #32, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event was won by Jose Velador, who took home $573,734 and the bracelet.  Second place went to Anthony Signore, worth $366,387.&lt;/p&gt;
